As the Crested Cranes prepare to depart for Algeria tomorrow for their crucial international friendlies, the Finance Trust Women Super League fixtures have been postponed. This decision comes as several clubs participating in the league have players who are key members of the national team.
The Uganda Football Association (FUFA) confirmed the postponement, citing the need to allow the national team to focus on their preparations and upcoming matches without club commitments interfering. This move underscores the importance of the friendlies, scheduled for November 27 and 30, which will provide valuable experience for the players and the national team as a whole.
The Crested Cranes have been in intensive training at Hamz Stadium, with players demonstrating high energy and focus ahead of their departure. Their rigorous preparations aim to ensure they are in top form to represent Uganda on the international stage
The postponed fixtures will be rescheduled, with FUFA expected to announce new dates once the Crested Cranes conclude their international engagements. For now, the focus remains on the national team’s mission to deliver strong performances in Algeria and inspire future generations of Ugandan footballers.
